Sarah qualified as a Solicitor in 2006 and has over 15 years’ experience in Litigation.
Sarah has practised in several Nationwide Legal 500 and Chambers ranked firms initially specialising in Criminal and Regulatory matters before diversifying into Dispute Resolution and Consumer Credit Litigation.
Sarah joined Joseph James Law in 2019 to spearhead the Financial Mis-selling / Consumer Credit Litigation Department dealing with volume ‘Unfair Commission Cases’. Sarah brings a wealth of experience to the team which regularly recover thousands of pounds for clients who have been mis-sold various products and services.
James joined Joseph James Law 3 years ago and immediately knew it was a company that has CORE values and aspirations to succeed.
James came from a management background and since 2018 has been managing the Firm’s Debt Recovery Department, managing an ever-growing team and thousands of cases over different clients.
James is ambitious to succeed and has a client focused manner that ensures clients receive the best experience whilst also forming lasting relationships.
Andy joined the JJL team in 2017 specialising in underwriting and developing the systems and processes supporting the business. He is also a qualified project manager to Prince 2 standard and has worked both in the Public and Private sector.
Andy really enjoys being part of the Joseph James Law ‘Family’ and is passionate about getting a fair result for our clients.
18 years accounting experience, 16 years in the legal finance sector. Started in administration with Payroll, VAT and general accounting in 2005 and side stepped into Legal Accounting as a Legal Cashier in 2007. Worked my way up as Senior Cashier and then as an Accounts Manager.
Current role was to create and manage a fully functioning accounts department in 2018. Managing the day to day running of the accounts department, supervising the accounts team and workload and ensuring compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules.
Away from work, I enjoy nature, binging on Netflix series and going to the cinema.
Debbie Joined the firm in 2017 as a Team Leader. She has since progressed to Operations Manager where she oversees numerous departments within the firm. In 2020 Debbie also took over the role of HR Manager.
As Operations & HR Manager Debbie is responsible for running the firm’s busy call centre based in the Stockton office. Debbie is responsible for 4 Managers and 2 deputy Managers who head up various departments and is also the point of contact for the external IT department. Debbie reports directly to the Legal Director. As HR Manager, Debbie also supports all departments with any HR advise.
Outside of work Debbie is an animal lover who also enjoys reading and socialising.
Shola initially joined Joseph James Law in April 2018 as a Customer Service Representative within our Flight Compensation Team. Shola demonstrated innovative to chasing debt internally for the Flight Compensation Team. As a result, Shola in October 2018 joined the Debt Recovery Department as a Debt Recovery Administrator. Shola's passion for litigation was quickly recognised and Shola soon progressed into a Paralegal role. In October 2019, the Financial Mis-selling / Consumer Credit Litigation Department developed within the Firm dealing with volume ‘Unfair Commission Cases’ and Shola was able to shift her litigation knowledge to the team. Shola received the JJL Innovation Award in 2019. As the business expanded, Shola was promoted to the Plevin Litigation Manager within the Department. Shola received the JJL Core Values Award in 2021.
In her spare time, Shola enjoys camping, trips to the beach and attempting new recipes.
Before joining Joseph James law, Claire worked in the horseracing industry where, after gaining experience in 4 different countries, she worked her way up to management level running a small thoroughbred stud.
After retiring from the horse industry, Claire joined Joseph James Law in 2019 working as a Legal Administrator in the Plevin Department. Claire was promoted to Deputy Team Leader in 2021 where she continues to expand her understanding of the Plevin process. Claire enjoys helping her team to do their very best for our clients.
Outside of work Claire enjoys walking, reading and attending live music events.
Sadia is a senior solicitor at JJL and qualified in 2010 specialising in civil litigation and has worked in number of areas of law including conveyancing, wills and probate, employers and public liability and financial disputes as well as heading up and managing teams. She joined JJL initially as a consultant providing the firm with advice on litigated matters and later became employed with JJL in September 2021.
Sadia is also a solicitor-advocate and represents many clients at dispute resolution hearings successfully recovering monies that are due to them. As well as the many hearings she has each week she continues to provide advice in the Consumer credit litigation department and assists with applications to court.
With Sadia’s wealth of experience, she has always put her clients at the forefront and continues to succeed in all she does.
Anthony joined the Myflightdelayed team in 2017 as a Customer Service Advisor. Due to the expansion of the business Anthony moved to the Flight litigation and ADR Team. Whilst working withing the Litigation department for Myflightdelayed Anthony gained industry knowledge around the litigation process and he found this really interesting having previously studied Aviation and Travel & Tourism.
Anthony then moved across to the Plevin Litigation department in 2021 as a Paralegal, to assist with the department and help widen his knowledge in other areas of the Litigation process.
After working on the Plevin Litigation Department for over a year Anthony received a promotion to the Deputy Plevin Litigation Manager. Anthony hopes by bringing over ten years Managerial experience to the team, will assist in the training and development of the department and will also helping to build on his own Litigation knowledge.
Working for Joseph James Law has been both challenging and rewarding, this has pushed me to want to achieve more within the company. The best part of working for Joseph James Law is seeing the company grow over the last few years due to everyone’s hard work.
Sharon joined the firm in 2020 as Head of Marketing at Joseph James Law. She has become a growing asset to the firm with over 12 years’ experience in marketing overall. Sharon reports directly to the managing directors and is based in our Milton Keynes office. She works closely with the directors to make sure that their vision and message is relayed through marketing material and platforms. She joined during the global pandemic and had since evolved our digital presence. With a marketing degree behind her belt, she has a vast amount of knowledge and skills to continuously grow the business via marketing channels.
In her spare time, she enjoys the family life and being wife and mum to two beautiful daughters as well as being maternal she loves cooking vegetarian food. Socialising, playing badminton and exploring the world inspire her every day to achieve above on beyond. Her personal life and career go hand in hand to develop and progress.
Before joining Joseph James Law, Matthew worked in a range of Customer Advisor roles, but he always knew a job in IT was what he really wanted. Matthew had studied IT at college but never really had the opportunity to apply it, other than on personal projects at home. Upon Joining Joseph James Law a few years ago, initially as a Claim Administrator, Matthew’s passion and knowledge for IT was quickly recognised and Matthew soon progressed into a Workflow and Development role.
Over that time, Matthew managed to learn, develop and work on some large development projects predominantly with the Proclaim platform. In addition to the development work he has worked closely with some of our clients and third parties to ensure a seamless process for referral of cases and integration with our systems with varied processes dependant on individual client/third party’s needs.
I had the mis fortune to need Legal advice over an employment issue right at the start of the Covid 19 outbreak/lock down period. I had previously heard of JJL though an event that they run annually so thought why not give them a go. The service I received was excellent the whole team were attentive and explained all of the legal details in plain English. Within a week or so my issue was resolved successfully which given the current state of the country I was super impressed with.
