Before joining Joseph James Law, Matthew worked in a range of Customer Advisor roles, but he always knew a job in IT was what he really wanted. Matthew had studied IT at college but never really had the opportunity to apply it, other than on personal projects at home. Upon Joining Joseph James Law a few years ago, initially as a Claim Administrator, Matthew’s passion and knowledge for IT was quickly recognised and Matthew soon progressed into a Workflow and Development role.
Over that time, Matthew managed to learn, develop and work on some large development projects predominantly with the Proclaim platform. In addition to the development work he has worked closely with some of our clients and third parties to ensure a seamless process for referral of cases and integration with our systems with varied processes dependant on individual client/third party’s needs.
Sarah qualified as a Solicitor in 2006 and has over 15 years’ experience in Litigation.
Sarah has practised in several Nationwide Legal 500 and Chambers ranked firms initially specialising in Criminal and Regulatory matters before diversifying into Dispute Resolution and Consumer Credit Litigation.
Sarah joined Joseph James Law in 2019 to spearhead the Financial Mis-selling / Consumer Credit Litigation Department dealing with volume ‘Unfair Commission Cases’. Sarah brings a wealth of experience to the team which regularly recover thousands of pounds for clients who have been mis-sold various products and services.
James joined Joseph James Law 3 years ago and immediately knew it was a company that has CORE values and aspirations to succeed.
James came from a management background and since 2018 has been heading the Firm’s Debt Recovery Department, managing an ever-growing team and thousands of cases over different clients.
James is ambitious to succeed and has a client focused manner that ensures clients receive the best experience whilst also forming lasting relationships.
Debbie Joined the firm in 2017 as a Team Leader. She has since progressed to Operations Manager where she oversees numerous departments within the firm.
As Operations manager Debbie is responsible for running the firm’s busy call centre based in the Stockton office. Debbie is responsible for 3 managers who head up various departments and is also the point of contact for the external IT department. Debbie reports directly to the Managing Partner.
Debbie is currently studying a Level 5 Management qualification via Datalaw to develop her knowledge and skills.
Outside of work Debbie is an animal lover who also enjoys reading and socialising.
Hannah has 5 years’ experience within the business, she first started working for the Firm within the Flight Litigation Department. Hannah initially took on the role of a Mentor, where she was able to develop staff to their full potential along with undertaking regular coaching sessions.
As the business expanded, Hannah was promoted to Team Leader within the Plevin Department. Hannah has managed her team whilst still developing her staff and has successfully created a professional and effective Plevin Team. Hannah is also currently completing a qualification in Team Leading to maximise her full potential and also received Employee of the year in 2019.
Hannah joined the Myflightdelayed team in 2017 as a legal administrator. Due to the expansion of the business Hannah moved to the Plevin Department firstly as Deputy Plevin Team manager and is now in the process of transitioning into a new role developing processes and workflows which she is very interested in and liaising with JJL referrers.
Hannah says working for Joseph James Law and seeing the company grow over the last few years due to everyone’s hard work has been very rewarding.
Katarzyna is a senior solicitor at JJL who trained at a top 100 law firm in London, qualifying in 2008, and specialising in commercial litigation. She worked as a solicitor in London until 2015, when she then started a family and moved to Milton Keynes. Katarzyna has been with JJL since 2017 and manages JJL’s commercial, general litigation and debt recovery departments.
She is able to cut through legal jargon and break down complex legal issues; explaining them to clients in a manner that is easily understood. Her attention to detail and determination to succeed are driving forces behind the departments that she manages.
Katarzyna always works closely with her clients, and client care features highly on Katarzyna’s list of priorities.
In her spare time Katarzyna enjoys following Derby County Football Club, gardening and increasing her sourdough baking portfolio.
Steffi joined Joseph James Law as Litigation Paralegal in September 2018 and began her training contract in March 2019. Steffi has completed her first seat in Litigation and is currently concluding her second seat in the Human Resources Department where she is dealing with various aspects of Employment Law. Steffi is due to qualify as a Solicitor in December 2020.
Steffi is a native German speaker who graduated with a First Class (Hons) Degree in Law at the University of Buckingham in 2016. Following graduation, Steffi worked as a Paralegal and has gained experience in conveyancing. Prior to studying Law, Steffi had a career in Telecommunication and Customer Service.
Andy joined the myflightdelayed team in 2017 specialising in underwriting flight claims and developing the systems and processes supporting the business. He has spent 42 years in the aviation sector bringing to the team a wealth of knowledge on Airlines, flight scheduling and operating requirements. He is also a qualified project manager to Prince 2 standard and has worked both in the Public and Private sector.
Andy really enjoys being part of the Joseph James Law ‘Family’ and is passionate about getting a fair result for our clients.
I had the mis fortune to need Legal advice over an employment issue right at the start of the Covid 19 outbreak/lock down period.
